2014 - Kathmandu & Bhaktapur, Nepal

Between sadhus, dust and street vendors

Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, has a charm all of its own. It's loud, dusty, smelly (a constant alternation of incense sticks and rotting garbage)... and I love this city! The smaller neighboring town of Bhaktapur, on the other hand, is much quieter, but - at least in the center - flooded with tourists.

The earthquake in 2015 probably destroyed much of what can be seen in these pictures. Let's hope that the city and its people heal quickly!
